Tragically,
Keith Sargent lead guitarist with The Missionaries was involved
in a fatal car accident in April 2006. He will be desperately
and sadly missed by everyone that knew him - the band, his friends,
family and especially his long term partner Fiona- our heart goes
out to her. Keith emboldened everything you would want in a friend
and had this great humour and huge chuckle that would make everything
alright. If I was stressed up with a gig or recording -it was
inevitably Keith during what seemed extraordinarily long fag and
tea breaks taken by the lads during rehearsals who said `don't
worry- everything will be alright, and we wont let you down` He
would then look at me quizzically like he was not sure on what
he had just said... and then burst into that infectious laugh
of his. The lads of course never did let me down. He was a terrific
guitarist in Rock and Blues and particularly on the track `Trouble`
I think he just stands out. If God was looking for a new lead
guitarist, I wish he had left mine alone... but he certainly has
good taste. Keep on Rockin Keith. Always Remembered.
